Patrick has learned from some of the best baseball minds in the state of Tennessee. He started his high school baseball career at Stone Memorial High School, playing for Scott Calahan. During his Junior year, he moved to Hendersonville with his family and started at Pope John Paul II High School. He continued his baseball career for the next two seasons under Michael Brown, where they made two appearances in the Elite 8 of the State tournament. Patrick has also worked with coaches like Dean Darnall, Nate Hall, Jason Anderegg, and Rocky Zazzaro. Each of these men has had a hand in what Patrick knows about the game and teaches others.
After high school, Patrick received the opportunity to continue his baseball career at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. In his four years at Georgetown, he won 130 games, the Mid-South Conference Championship, made two appearances in the Regional round of the NAIA National Championship, and one NAIA World Series. Patrick was a two-time Academic All-Conference team member and was nominated for the 2016 Mid-South Conference Student-Athlete of the Year award. As a catcher, Patrick spent most of his time working directly with the coaches. Patrick tried to soak in all the knowledge he could from them. This has really helped Patrick’s coaching experience. He graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration.
Patrick has spent the last two summers coaching for Knights Baseball and is currently a graduate student at Belmont University, where he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration.
